Lula Sports Camp
The Lula Cross Training Sports began in 2013. Camp is held at Lula Elementary School, and our volunteers come from many different local Churches and other organizations. God has truly blessed the Lula camp with growth each year. We started out in 2013 with about 35 campers and in 2015 we registered around 230 campers. We have seen many campers realize who Jesus truly is, and have accepted His free gift of Salvation. We also have seen families get plugged into a local church after Camp. God continues to allow us to minister to campers and their families throughout the whole year! We look forward to seeing what God does new and fresh in the upcoming years in Lula!
A Word from the Camp Directors
We were first introduced to Cross Training Sports Camp in the summer of 2012. Our two oldest boys were invited to a local camp by some friends. After the first night attending, our boys loved it! At that time, I was Student Pastor at a church in Cleveland Georgia. I talked to Maria, the Local Camp Director for CTSC about maybe bringing my students the following year to serve as a mission project. It just so happen the previous camp facility would not be able to hold camp in 2013, so that is when we reached out to Lula Elementary and they loved the idea to offer a free camp to not only their students but kids from all around our area! That year, Maria took Mandy and myself under her wing and showed us what was involved in directing a camp. After that we were hooked! We love getting to direct the awesome volunteers that God sends us each year and of course the wonderful kids we get to minister to! We love Jesus, Lula, and CTSC and can’t wait to see what God has in store for the future Lula camps!
